Our terms and conditions

The 55th Council Session of the International Sugar Organization (ISO) Council Meetings and one-day Conference and By George Consulting Pty Ltd (Conference organiser) advise the following terms and conditions will apply to the four-day event, including the Conference, Meetings and any social events or tours.

  • Behaviour:  The Conference reserves the right to prohibit entry to any person to the event, or to eject any person from the event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by Conference staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority.
  • Cancellation:  Registrations can be cancelled in writing (email) up until 30 June 2019.  A non-refundable handling charge of AUD$50 will be deducted from the refunded amount. After that date, 30 June 2019, no refunds can be made.  However, a substitute delegate is welcome at no extra charge provided the Conference Manager is advised in advance of this attendee’s arrival.
  • Each attendee will be provided with a name badge to identify the attendee by name, job title and company.
  • Registration prices are inclusive of GST.
  • Registration payment in full is required before the event registration closing date in order to attend.
  • Sharing registrations:  One registration may not be utilised by several individuals. Each registration is allocated to one attendee.
  • Insurance: All attendees are recommended to take out their own travel and cancellation insurance and to extend their policy for personal accident, health problems and possessions against cancellation of booking, theft or loss of belongings. The organisers accept no liability for these matters.
  • Programme Changes: The Conference reserves the right to make alterations to the programme should this become necessary.  Wherever possible, the most recent version of the programme will be on the Conference website.
  • Non-Discrimination Policy:  The Conference will use all reasonable endeavours to comply with all Australian laws applicable in relation to discrimination on any grounds.  The Conference is committed to providing equal opportunity and fair treatment for all and will not intentionally discriminate on the basis of gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, religion, culture or disability in dealing with any attendee.
  • Governing Law:  These terms and conditions are governed by Australian Law and the Courts of Australia will have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any disputes which may arise under them.
